Diane has worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Certified Respiratory Educator for The Lung Association- Ontario more than 15 years. Prior to that, she worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital. Her specific interest is in asthma and COPD management as well as other lung diseases, smoking cessation and air quality.
Chris is a Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Educator at The Lung Association – Ontario. Early in his career he worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He then switched his focus to education, and for the last 14 years has developed and provided patient education programs with The Lung Association – Ontario. Chris is also a faculty member with the RESPTREC™ program, facilitating Asthma, COPD and Education for Chronic Disease workshops for health-care professionals.
Lana Biro is a Curriculum Developer for the Provider Education Program. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Respiratory Educator, Lana has a strong interest in promoting respiratory health. She has been involved with numerous lung health advocacy initiatives including Lung Health Information Line, Lung Health Ambassadors and COPD support groups. Lana enjoys facilitating RespTREC® and Motivational Interviewing workshops in Ontario.
Aisha has 10 years of experience working as a respiratory therapist in Ontario and Alberta. She currently works at The Lung Association as the Primary Care Asthma Program (PCAP) provincial coordinator. She has a strong interest in respiratory health and her interests include smoking cessation, asthma and COPD self-management and health promotion.
Jennifer is a Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Educator with a background that includes twenty years working in respiratory home care. During this time she had the opportunity to lead healthcare teams and implement many programs and services in the community setting. In 2016, she joined The Lung Association’s Provider Education Program team as Curriculum Developer and, in 2017, became the Program Manager. She has a strong interest in promoting respiratory health and her interests include patient and provider education, and quality improvement.
Kellie is a registered nurse who currently works as a Patient Navigator-Lung Cancer at the Lung Association. She has over twenty years’ experience working with oncology patients. She has a strong interest in providing education and support to lung cancer patients and their families. Her experience allows Kellie to help patients make informed decisions regarding their cancer care.
