Starting Your Own Lung Health Support Group

The Lung Association- Ontario has created the booklet to help guide you in organizing a support group for people with lung disease and their family and friends. The purpose of this booklet, entitled How to Start a Lung Health Support Group, is to help bring support to those who live with lung related diseases. The booklet discusses several key areas to consider when starting a support group such as: choosing a location, logistics, group structure, promotion of the support group in a community and topics that might be of interest to group members. Our team of Lung Health Ambassadors from across Ontario has played a major role in creating this booklet.

A limited number of printed copies are available, as well as a downloadable resource.

You can also learn more about starting a lung health support group and order the booklet over the phone 1-888-344-LUNG (5864)
