The Youth Advocacy Training Institute (YATI) offers exciting and interactive learning opportunities that equip youth, young adults and adults working with youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and reduce tobacco use, promote health and support young people in advocating for positive change in their communities.
YATI provides free trainings across the province on more than 20 different topics in both official languages. We also provide key note presentations (YATI Talks), resources, and partnership opportunities on projects and events.
Since our inception we’ve reached over 40,000 participants through our programming.
Youth engagement is at the core of the work we do at YATI. As a result, our programs are created for and by young people (12-29). We also offer programming, consultation and support for adult allies that work with young people to further their work in positive youth development.
To get involved visit YouthAdvocacy.ca to book a training or learn about how to become a facilitator or volunteer with us.
YATI is a program of The Lung Association, funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care through the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy.
